Beautiful at night

The fountain has spouts with different colored lights. It was worth the time to go see it. Children would like it.

Looking around Alliance we stumbled upon their park and what a nice respite. Sat there for awhile admiring their fountain. And impressed by the friendliness of the people in the park! Just a few families, but welcomed us to their town.

I was amazed at the beauty of this fountain. I was also very pleased at the setting of the fountain. It is located in a beautiful, wooded park with a very nice, wide and cement walking/running/bike trail that runs completely through it which links this park with other parks in town.

This fountain would not be out of place in a large city. It is truly wonderful. We saw it during the day when the sun was shinning on it, a real tranquil spot because we were on our own. If you travel to Alliance for any reason this is a must.

I stayed for two week in Alliance. During several early evenings, I sat on a bench and read my Nook in front of this beautiful fountain. The fountain does not have a steady water shoot, but it shoots on and off periodically. Children were running back and forth in front of the fountain, playing games with the water spray. I... More

The best time to visit the fountain is during the night time. During that time it is lit up and amazing. My husband took me here because it was one of the best memories he had as a child and I can see why.

Stopped in Alliance for a picnic on a full day of Nebraska plains driving. Found the Fountain and Central Park delightfully refreshing. Great place for a picnic and cooling off by the spray of the city fountain. Delightful.

The fountain is beautiful, especially at night, when it is all lit up with multi-colored lights. It is on the National Register and apparently was in a state of disrepair when the community rallied to restore it. It called the Fountain of Hope and represents what a community can do when they work together.

This fountain was originally built during the Work Programs of the Roosevelt era. It is placed in Central Park which was also planned and built as part of the WPA programs as well. Claude Wright was the main planner of this area and it is the epitome of "hometown" parks where families have met on July 4th or special occasions... More
