This a park in the downtown of Santa Cruz, it has a big fountain of water and recently they tried to improve it but it is next to a market so it is normally dirty and with many people. At nights it can be a little dangerous if you are alone.

Not sure what this parque is doing in the city at all. Yes, it has water, a small island etc, but it seems like a wasted space. Maintenance in general seems to be poor. The walk bridge to the island was locked, (hopefully to spruce it up!) hence couldn't go over. Has a gritty feel to it.

It is a beautiful place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Delicious food vendors abound if you are willing to sample the local eats

Is an old and "must" visit if you're new in town. Otherwise it will be just fine to rest during a hot day while you wait for another people during the afternoon hours.

Its just an empty concrete plaza with dome steps down to a man made lake which isn't very well kept. Next to it there is a good market though - shoes, clothing, fresh fruit, street food and anything else you might need on offer. Got warned not to go at night because its not safe

The park was renovated and reopened in 2009. The park has a lagoon where, before the renovation, you could rent small boats to cruise around. Now, that attraction is no longer permitted. The park is cleaner than before, but not as active.

... go to this park. The lake is nice, you can rent boats and row on the lake. It's not as clean as plaza de 24, but still very much worthwhile a visit!
