Best ambiance in Santa Cruz

It's really common to just see people hanging out, couples walking around, people selling coffee, small presentations... It's a good place to spend sometime in a Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful square. Nice for an afternoon or evening stroll, specially on weekends. Try the traditional café con leche from the walking vendors. It's delicious, part of the history of the plaza and "the thing to do" Walk around the square, it's surrounded by historic buildings that are now some governmental offices. Visit the Cathedral. Facing the cathedral, to the right,... More

We prefer the night. Once the sun goes down it fills with people. Couples, families. People playing chess and social setting. Well worth the effort

Been here 6 years in a row in late January. This is pre carnival time. Place is super safe, clean, and packed even after midnight. Plenty to eat around from street vendors and well established restaurants that can easily accommodate a large party last minute. Place is bustling with families, teenagers, couples and security. During the day and on weekends... More

Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. A great chance to see the local culture. They also have several touristy type stores if you're looking for souvenirs.

We arrived on New Year's Eve and our hotel was only a short walk to the plaza. Many restaurants weren't open - maybe because is the holidays but we found a place on the corner which served deadly Long Island iced teas. After a few too many and a good meal, we staggered a good the road to the plaza.... More

The architectural design is quite interesting, there are a visit to the tower in the afternoons. If you want a great pic, visit the restaurant at the roof of Senzes Hotel

Lovely leafy plaza with lots of trees to get out of the sun's heat for a bit. Plenty of seating all around. A big and inviting plaza with a lovely view of the cathedral. Could spend a good amount of time here relaxing and people watching.

This is a meeting point in Santa Cruz. There are people all ages talking, playing games and eating. There are also nice buildings and restaurants around.
