Amazing Amazing, Chobe river cruise. that’s all I can say. On the river cruise you get to see the animals that graze safely away from their predators, apart from the crocodile. We were fortunate enough to see herds of elephant and were very close. Was an experience we wouldn’t miss.

We asked our travel agent for different game sighting experiences and stayed on the Chobe Princess 1 viewing Chobe National Park from both the houseboat and a ten seater skiff able to go close to a variety of wildlife drinking along the river banks. Perhaps most memorable were the Crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants, Giraffe, Lion and Buffalo. Also the visit to a Namibian village and the opportunity to meet the local community. Comfortable cabins on the lower deck and a large sitting, dining and viewing area on the upper deck. Our three generation family were well taken care of with the excellent breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Our thanks to the crew for their fine hospitality, highly recommended.

Chobe Princess ll - We did the 2 day boat cruise up the Chobe River, and had the better cabin, which was the only one that had a private balcony at the rear of the boat. In our cabin, we were welcomed by a chilled bottle of champagne from the captain and crew. The boat travelled slowly up the Chobe river, and we chose not to go on any of the additional boat tours, because we were resting up after all our land safaris. So we had the entire upper deck to ourselves for most of the time, whilst everyone else went out on the smaller boats. It was an excellent opportunity to totally unwind and photograph the scenery, wildlife, birds and sunsets. Originally we wanted to go on the Zambezi Queen and were disappointed, but in hindsight it worked out better for us. It was very intimate with only 6 passengers onboard. The cabin was tastefully decorated with plenty of storage space for items and luggage. The food was excellent with fresh food prepared daily by the chef. Service was impeccable, with staff offering drinks and nibbles throughout the trip. The captain helped out wherever he could looking after the guests on the upper deck. Would highly recommend this boat cruise for whatever experience you wish to have.

Definitely worth it. The Chobe river is very large, very peaceful and a wonderful place to view some animals doing their thing.

We went for a full day. The first part of the day was on a boat. Good guides. Perfect weather. Then a buffet lunch, not great but acceptable. The last part of the day was a game drive.

A real highlight for any vacation and a must do if you are in Chobe National Park! This three-hour afternoon cruise takes you along the Chobe River and you will see many different animals (close up we saw crocodiles, hippos, elephants, Cape Buffalo. many with babies; in the distance we saw Kudu, impala) and many gorgeous birds. The guide is incredibly knowledgeable and answered questions individually if you wanted to learn more. It is such a breathtaking experience to witness the animals eating, sleeping, running, and rolling around in their natural settings, and be immersed in the fresh air on the river, surrounded by the beautiful landscape and islands. There is plenty of space to walk around and take photos, sit and enjoy the view, and enjoy a cold drink (the 'bar tender' was very friendly as well).

My husband and I decided to take advantage of a locals special to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I think this will go down as one of our best holidays ever. We absolutely loved the experience of being on a floating hotel and the whole experience was sublime- from the food, to game viewing and to the staff. Accommodation was beautiful and I can't recommend this holiday enough.

After a long-awaited holiday from the pandemic, we thought of visiting the Zambezi Chobe Princess again. We travelled with two friends from Cape Town and had the best time ever! We did a lot of shuffling of on and off transports, car and boat, immigration and paper work for our PCR tests but finally arrived on our Princess “One”. I must say it was timely and organized getting to the boat and off we went while enjoying a beautiful lunch. Our viewings and the variety of animals were unsurpassed. All the staff was exceptional, our accommodation comfortable but Ellis, our chef, was beyond amazing. What talent! Please do not hesitate to experience this trip, you will not be disappointed.

MY wife and I had three nights on the Chobe Princess 1 towards the end of June 21. The houseboat experience was very good but was marred by very unfriendly and rude staff at the Impalila Police Station on Impalila Island, where the Immigration and health inspector was located. Unfortunately our travel agent failed to advise us that we needed another Covid test to get into Namibia (The Chobe Houseboat is located on the Namibian side of the Chobe River) WE had already spent 6 nights in Botswana at Reserves, and they would have accepted our Covid test results if they were only 7 days old but they were 8 days old. The young inexperienced health inspector did not know what to do with us. WE are British but have SA Permanent Residence status and live in Cape Town. After having a meeting in the middle of the River with the owners of the boat it was eventually agreed that we would have to isolate on the boat away from other guests until we produced another negative Covid test the following day which we did. But this bad experience marred our holiday for this part of the trip. The boat staff were however excellent (Luckily we had booked the upstairs superior cabin so could have our meals upstairs away from the other 5 guests. The food and service were all excellent and we even had our own separate game viewing from a smaller boat until we could mix with the other guests. Overall the service and attention we got from the staff was very good. Would certainly recommend this trip and hope you do not have the same problem as ours. The Namibian authorities need to send their staff on communication skills in dealing with tourists. Their aweful attitide is not going to attract tourists to that part of Namibia. The Head of Police told my wife to "F O and not to bring your dirty diseases into our country "
