The only problem with this center is that there were not a lot of different species out and on display. We did have the opportunity to see the a couple of the BirdWing Butterflies, and there were also a couple of very colorful species just hatching, but we were hoping for more. One thing though that was very positive is... More

It is a drive, although simple one, to get here. It is small, but if you love butterflies, then this is worth the visit. Angkor is very crowded and busy with thousands of tourists in every frame of your camera! Getting out of town and visiting this area will give you a nice taste of the rural Cambodia w/o actually... Staff were very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. You could stay as long as you liked and there were refreshments in the coffee shop if desired.

I popped into the butterflies on the way back from the landmine museum on recommendation from my tuk tuk driver. It was nice and there were plenty of places to sit and relax, the free guide was nice too as he explained the different butterflies and answered any questions I had. The $5 entry fee is a bit expensive for... More

I was pleasantly surprised to be shown around, pointed to various butterflies and informed of the various stages of butterfly development. Got some really beautiful photos!

Recommended in lonely planet guide, only $5 and a tour guide included to really explain how everything worked. Beautifully done and really interested. Worth a visit

This was pricey for what it was, I thought. You go into a caged area where they keep butterflies. There is a seating area and at the back is a caterpillar nursery kind of thing. My friends seemed to like this more than I did but it seemed a bit harsh to keep the butterflies trapped. I did enjoy myself... More

The Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre is a fantastic butterfly habitat. With many species of indigenous species, they are both a butterfly farm and conservation center. I was impressed by the knowledge of the staff as they provided a guided tour of the Center and explained what they do. This is a small facility located about 45 minutes outside Siem Reap... More

If you are at the Banteay Srey temple, you should ask your tour guide to visit this nice garden, it is great to experience.

This was a cute stop off on our way out to one of the distant temple. Some most wonderful butterflies. We also took advatage of their seating area and ordered a cool coconut to sip with the butterflies zipping around. Worth calling in if you are out that way. alos money raised helps their conservation projects.
