My husband and I had a great trip to tonle sap with Chai. He picked us up at our hotel, guided our tour, and arranged for several different boat transfers throughout the day. We saw several other groups of tourists trying to do the same trip without a guide and they were being forced to overpay for each boat transfer... More

We took floating village your with Chai. He was quite happy to accommodate my wish to do the tour in the afternoon so we can see the sunset. Although it was a rainy cloudy day and there was no sunset to speak of, we enjoyed the tour with Chai. He shared his insight into the village life and ready to... More

This was exactly what we were looking for. Chai is a fantastic person and will make your trip unforgettable. Not only did we visit the temples, Chai brought us to some small villages and we got to meet with locals and shared great time with them. If you are looking for responsible tourism, Chai is your guy !

Chai was a lovely guide, well spoken and kind. He took our family to Beng Melea (letting us explore it on our own) and then to the stilted village and Tonle Sap lake. We explained lots of things to us along the way and was happy to answer our questions. We had a nice meal at one of the houses... More

We took the full day West Barray bike tour. Chai is a wonderful guide - speaks good English, very pleasant and knowledgeable, and supports the locals. We drove through the countryside and met local families during their everyday activities, visited a local market and drank fresh squeezed sugar cane juice. The ride was very relaxed. We had a picnic at... More

We took a half day tour (8am - 2pm) of the Kompong Pluk stilt village which included a boat ride through the flooded forest and a visit to the Tonle Sap Lake. Although we requested the tour last minute, Chai was very accommodating. The tour was excellent and I feel like we got to see a lot more than we... More

Chai's tour was wonderfully informative and avoided the usual routes taken by the big tourist boats. With Chai, you get an amazing amount of insight into how the villages run and how the lake functions. He understands the people and the local eco system and has a wealth of knowledge he is more than happy to share. Chai also takes... More

I wanted to learn something about present day Cambodia. Our guide's (Chai) thoughtful description of the village, the peoples' lives and the state of the flooded forest was based on a wealth of context and relevant facts.

Chai's Off-Road Tours is a business you can feel good about supporting. A number of friends independently recommended Chai's tours to us and I have no hesitation recommending them to others. You'll not get the bells and whistles you might elsewhere. Instead CORT have spent time putting together experiences that get you under the skin of Cambodia in a way... More
