The Angkor temples are amazing and the Khmer culture was the greatest in SE Asia for a long period. The actual temples are now overrun with tourists which is sad.

This is an extremely large temple that is still beautiful to look at and walk through. I was surprised with how big it was and well the after all these years that you are able to clearly read and inscriptions on the wall.

It is not far from Siem Reap. When you buy a ticket for Angkor Wat, $37 US, it includes admission to the Bayon. We booked our trip at tourist information.
