Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you into art (?) like me, then you will enjoy this great little museum in central Siem Reap, Cambodia. In addition to many fantastic paintings (by a variety of local and global artists), there are video displays (including optional short movies you may choose to watch), plus interesting sculptures, dotted throughout the complex. A highlight for me personally, was the massive mural, with three dimensional 3D effects housed in a special (no private filming allowed) exhibition hall, providing a fascinating historical timeline for the Khmer civilization. Glad we visited and also pleased that we took advantage of a taking one of the guided museum tours.

Time permitting, well worth a visit. Enabled me to better understand the rich ancient history of the region. Likely better to go through the museum before going to the temple ruins.

we were taken here by our friendly tuktuk driver and although it cost $20 to get in the centre 360 degree painting is worth the price. the theater gives you some insight into the building of the temples and the might of the ancient culture

This is a very underwhelming experience and not at all worth the time or money. Looking into the details of it, this was actually made by North Korea! And even more bizarre is the fact that for the first 10 years, North Korea is given 100% of the proceeds, then the following 10 years is a 50/50 split between North Korea and the Cambodian gov. So many great things to see and do in Cambodia, this isn’t one of them IMO.

Enjoyed my visit to the Panaroma museum. The ticket cost is a bit high but it does come with a tour with a guide which is good. The museum provides a good overview of the temples in Siem Reap and how things were in the past. The Panorama painting was amazing....detailed and huge. Do note that this is a one way museum only so take your time to enjoy the various parts of the museum as you can only go into the various areas once.

We went there for 1.5 hours this morning! We enjoyed it. A couple of caveats. Our tour guide got us in for $10, so we didn't pay 20. For that price, I think it's fine. They give your a tour guide for free. She explained quite a bit to us over about 30 minutes tour around the building. The panorama painting itself is amazing. I have no idea if it is historically accurate, but I have never seen anything like it.
Overall, good for a quick look!

A real rip off for US20. Some nice architectural models describing the major temples in the area, a nice panorama painting, a un-informative movie. It could be seen in 30 minutes and is worth U$ 5 with NYC prices

Went here and it is a great experience, the panorama and movie about Angkor Wat is good, however, on entry you receive a ticket with a tear off section each for Panorama and Movie, however, we wanted to see the panorama again and were refused entry as we had already been there once! We did complain and were allowed in again, but as entry to the whole building is $20 I found this ruling a bit off. Surely, as in nearly all major museums worldwide initial entry fee should ensure multiple visits to exhibits once in the building.
Also note - personal photography is not allowed in the Panorama but you can pay for a photo done by staff.
Don't let the above put you off going it is worthwhile seeing this exhibition.

Impressive 3D painting drawn by North Korean painters during a period of 16 months which is really worth the money (20$ per person). Also nice presentation of the temples with pictures, paintings, a 3D system including a personal guide.

We had a nice time and it was very educative. The place is well designed. The panorama painting is very impressive and realistic. The guide was very kind and helpful. We can enjoy a good ice cream and coffee before leaving. I would recommend this museum before a tour in Angkor.
