My wife and I took a small group, dawn tour of Angkor Wat followed by Ta Phrom (westerners call this the Tomb Raider temple, to the dismay of the Cambodians) and Angkor Tom. Our guide, Phi, was very informative, helpful and knew all the great photo spots. (He even took some pretty inventive pano shots for us). Phi also had all of the history at his finger tips, and we felt we learned a lot, without feeling overwhelmed. (There's over a thousand years of history here!) Dawn is a good time to start, so you can beat the heat. Hotel pickup is just after 4 AM and you are driven to the ticket office to buy your ticket, before the tour commences. Due to drainage issues and drought at Angkor Wat, there is only one pool of water and the crowd got pretty raucus, as people jostled for their photo ops of the temple's reflection in the pre-dawn light. No fault of the tour guide there, who took great care of us. The temple complex is truly vast, mind blowing, beautiful and thought provoking. A day doesn't really cover it, but if you only have one day, I would highly recommend this tour company and this tour.

Me and my mom had a wonderful time with our tour guide Mr. Phi. He was knowledgeable and funny and a great tour guide. Starting with the sunrise at Ankor Wat we then went on a tour of a handful of temples over the next two days. With an air conditioned bus, cold water, and cold aromatic towels from Phi and the Driver they made us feel at home. Phi is also a master picture taker and is patient to allow everyone time for pictures. Our group of 8 was
A good size and I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure through Cambodian temples and history. I also sense an increase in tourism here and foresee an increase in crowds and commercialization. Get there sooner than later

We went for the small group sunrise tour. We were ten people in the group, everything worked according to the schedule and we had a great time.

Sok Chea was excellent, a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide who always notified us of details or facts that otherwise would have gone past us. Every time we went back to the bus, the driver gave us cold water bottles and wet towels, which was highly appreciated as it was a very hot day. Sok Chea also told us a lot of life and politics in general when we went to the next temple. Sok Chea had his camera equipment with him and he supplied us with group photos, time-lapse of the sunrise etc after the tour.

I can highly recommend Journey Cambodia, we visited their office in Siem Reap to book the tour and the service agent there was very helpful.

If you decide to go for a tour, ask to get Mr. Sok Chea as your tour guide.

I booked a 2-day tour with this company and had an amazing experience! On the first day, we saw the sunrise on the Angkor Wat site (which was incredible), then we got to see the “Tomb Raider” temple (my fav) and other importants temples during the two days. We choose to see the Landmine museum (5$ each) which was a great way to better understand the Cambodian history. Our tour guide, CHHAY, was nice and funny and took the time to explain every details as well as a lot of facts about the Cambodian culture. We also got water and wet towels the all day to help with the heat. I usually don’t book tour to experience things by myself but I’m glad I choose to have a guide this time, you get to really understand what was built and why. I definitely recommend the tour and CHHAY.

My wife and I went on the 2 day tour with sunrise of the Angkor Wat temples, and our guide (Somchhay Troeurng) was very informative and helpful. He told us about all of the temples and various aspect of Cambodian life, including details about Cambodian monks and his own background growing up in Cambodia. He also took us to the Cambodia landmine museum, after taking a poll to see who wanted to go at the end of day 1, which was a very nice bonus! Our only complaint for the tour was the expense of the restaurant chosen for day 1 lunch; given the average price of meals in Siem Reap (3-4$), it is surprising that we were taken to a place with most meals around 7$ - especially since it was in an area with many local food stalls. Overall very great trip with a fun and knowledgeable guide!

I had to extend my stay for another 30 days beyond my allowed 30 without a visa . I came in with visa exempt but the extension process would apply to all.

I went through PP Phnom Penh immigration office across from the PP airport.

In front or entry of the main building office, I stopped by the guard post. I told them my embassy adviced me to come. He asked for my passport. He said 60usd for one month extension and will be ready in one week. He can take care. I told him my embassy said only 30. He then unhappily told me to go to inside. I saw a line waiting for office to open.

10 people in line.

Door opener and within 5 min got to my turn. I stated my intent. Clerk directed me to counter.

The officer asked for my passport. He said it will cost 30usd

Handed me a one page visa extension form, stepped aside to fill and return back to line.

Returned form and was asked if I have photos. I don't. They took my passport and scanned my picture.

Collected my money and gave me a receipt to return for visa and passport. All in less than 10min.

Great job, Cambodia immigration!

We live in Phnom Penh for many years and Journey Cambodia has been our go to choice for any trips and activities in and around Siem Reap. We also use them whenever friends and relatives from abroad come to visit the temples and so far everyone has been tremendously happy with their services.

This time around, we booked a private driver and a guide for 2.5 days and did an individualized tour that took us all the way to Preah Vihear and back. We saw many lesser know and equally impressive temples on the way. These trips are a completely different experience if you have someone local with you who is knowledgeable and able to provide you with explanations on pretty much anything you ask. If you are in Cambodia at the moment and if you can afford to do it, please consider booking through them and ensure that these lovely people can make ends meet.

Very good 2 day tour of Angkor Wat in a small group (8 people) from 30 Nov - 1 Dec. Our tour guide Saruon Pal was very knowledgeable about the history and religious significance of Angkor Wat and Cambodia, and showed us lots of different things and answered all the group’s questions. We covered 10 sites over the 2 days and arrived early for the sunrise so we could get a great view before the crowds arrived. The bus was well air-conditioned and our driver provided cold water bottles and cold towels after each temple tour, really needed after the heat and humidity outside! I thoroughly recommend if you are visiting Siem Reap.

My husband and I decided to go to Cambodia for the holidays at the last minute on Dec. 12. I contacted Mr. Bo at Journey Cambodia to help us plan a 3-week itinerary for a private tour. Mr. Bo was very prompt, friendly and courteous and sent me a detailed itinerary with a quote for a private tour as soon as I gave him our travel dates and we told him what we wanted to see and do in Cambodia. He also suggested additional activities which we liked and so he finalized our itinerary. We booked our flights, applied for our tourist visa and 12 days after I first contacted Mr. Bo, we were on a plane to Cambodia on Dec 24! Amazing! We had a private tour guide with driver and our own air conditioned vehicle during our entire tour. The tour guides and drivers were very knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and spoke very good English. The entire team of Journey Cambodia were amazing and went out of their way to make our trip to Cambodia very memorable! They even helped and accompanied us to get our COVID test the day before our flight back home to make sure we got our results on time. We can’t thank Journey Cambodia enough for the excellent and friendly service they provided us. We highly recommend them! They will take very good care of you! Thank you so much, Journey Cambodia!

When you book, go with Sak. He is a fantastic tourguide and indeed the best one I have experienced so far (and I normally don't like guided tours because they can be annoying from time to time). However, Sak is super passionate about his job and will tell you really interesting stories around Angkor Wat. He will not bore you with unnecessary information and he will not treat you like a mainstream tourist. You will have the feeling he takes individual care of you and leaves you enough space to explore the temples on your own if you want to.

We had a 2 day tour shortly before Christmas with an early sunrise at the angkor wat temple on the second day. Sak made sure we have the best experience and knew at what time we should go to specific locations to avoid crowds.

We were very impressed by the tour and Sak did an outstanding job.
