I didn't find an English-language guidebook which was helpful in finding the geoglyphs near Arica, but am attaching a local map of the Circuit Azapa Cultura y Naturaleza. There are so many geoglyphs.

You can make out some shapes, but a planted row of cactus stops you from getting within a few hundred feet. If you go, bring binoculars.

Various excellent geoglyphs along hillsides in various valleys around Arica. Don't miss the more modern one, which is just as valid a statement as the older ones - this advertises Coca-cola!

Amazing to see how these survived all these years. Unfortunately the "hot rod" bike riders are defacing some of them, so go while they can still be seen and appreciated.

We drove with 8 persons in a taxibus to these amazing hills with geoglyphs. As the sky was very blue, we were able to make some great pictures.

We saw geoglyphs in several locations during our shore excursion from Arica. It is amazing that these geoglyphs could be 500 years old due to the lack of rain in the area. I was glad that I got to see them as they are very...More

A pity we could not get closer. You need a vehicle to get there as it is a little way out so either a tour or a taxi.

We saw the geoglyphs from a couple of vantage points on our recent South Excursions tour of Arica. One place could not be reached by tour buses, we were glad we were in a small van. The geoglyphs were amazing to see and made me...More
