Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I suppose as an exhibition Center its not bad but what's the point in going to an exhibition center if they haven't got an exhibition on .waste of time

Hello, I am sorry you felt this way. You should return during our exhibitions. I suggest coming back between March 6-9 during the world's largest stone industry fair. We also invite you to come during October for the world's largest tea trade show. Search for Xiamen International Stone Fair or Xiamen International Tea Industry Fair.

Not expensive and was very close to the XICEC where my Conference was being held.
I didn’t expect much and exactly that was delivered!
Only worth it if you’re looking for convenience factor!

Visited xiamen and visited here on evening after hearing Brics 2017 summit will be attended here. It's a huge complex however not much to see unless some exhibition is going on. Beach nearby is good and provides good time pass.

Unless there's an exhibition going on in one or more buildings, it's just empty space. Other than the relatively interesting exteriors, there's really nothing to see. Use it as a landmark from which to go to and from other nearby areas like the beach. There are bus stops and taxi stands nearby.

Stayed at the Grand Millennium at the top end of Zhongshan Road. Left out of the hotel gets you started. Across the road is a newish mall with the more top end luxury stores (and a Carrefour), the characterful shops are on your left side. Major crossroads has a Walmart on your left corner (worth a visit to the Supermarket for the live seafood on show). Turn left and head for the channel. More funky shops on a pedestrianised road, and hanging a left halfway down gets you a little wild side with some brilliant photo-ops of foodstalls and life. Maybe avoid this bit if you're sensitive to smells - it gets a bit drains and dead meat on the nose.

The fun thing about the exhibition center is that each year it hosts so many kinds of exhibitions--pets and supplies and vegetarian food products, for example, but also, of course, the CIFIT--China International Fair for Investment and Trade (the world's largest fair of its kind). While there, try out the hotel's restaurants. Chefs and selections change over time, but the quality remains high.
And the field outside the center is one of the best places on the island to go kite-flying. It's also a good point to view Taiwan-controlled Jinmen Island, which is close enough that with binoculars, you can see the islet's people, and the large propaganda poster--their answer to the large propaganda poster on our own side.

I visited there for Xiamen International Animation Festival. Animation companies from all over the China as well as all over the World get together to Present their work and to become noticed for business orders. Nice big place with a hotel just outside it.
