Visited this place with colleagues. We hiked from the nanputuo temple and reached the entrance of the botanical garden from the hill. It was a very tiring hike. The garden was just average with very limited variety of plants but it is a nice place...More

It is not the most famous tourist destination in Xiamen, but in fact the very best! Much more interesting and beautiful then Gulangyu island. The park is huge and located on the slope of some mountains. No mass tourism! The cactus park is very special...More

The gardens are wonderful to walk around, there are multiple paths but I took a short hike between the temple and the cactus garden up to a giant rock to get a view of the city. Definitely worth it and makes for an enjoyable afternoon.

About 40 minutes from the sea PORT This attraction is really not worth the money and effort I would choose that Island trip instead.

Xiamen is not a big city. A taxi will do at less than 100 RMB. There's a railroad park right next to the Botanical Garden's main gate, and it's worth going. You may plan to visit it after you come out of the botanical... More
