I walked a good 30 minutes down here and the whole time it was basically just a path with railway tracks embedded into it, taking me presumably to nowhere. I never got to the tunnels I see in these pics since I turned off to...More

Quite a few kilometers of Xiamen's railway line were turned into a pedestrian walk. It is relaxing and not too crowded way to move from A to B when exploring Xiamen. The path leads past the Botanical garden so good alternative for getting there.

Stumbled upon this area whilst on the public bus back to hotel. An ideal place for a stroll as it is not as crowded as other iconic sites.

an old railway line became a park. It was really nice to walk there at night as it was the only place which isn't crowded in Xiamen!

Total walk from end to end is about 3km. There's a park at each end. The 700m long tunnel is fairly fun to walk through and quite special but otherwise it's really just a walking trail along the old railroad tracks, so go and see...More

It was vaguely interesting if you have a passion for trains. It is a bit hard to find so don't go too far out of the way to find it

I was just wandering around the city when I've find per coincidence this old railway tracks transformed in to a park. The whole park is about 2.5 km long and very nice to escape from the busy roads in Xiamen. You can start from the...More

Very nice stroll; the track is decently restored and mantained. And even better: no crowds at all (at least on a November tuesday). We combined it with the huge and hilly botanical gardens (40RMB), Wulao mountain and Nanputuo Temple for a day roundtrip hike.

This is a real gem right in the middle of the city. We were told aboiut it by a friend in Xiamen who dropped us off at the start of the walk. We grabbed some hot soy milk and baozi from a nearby stall, sat...More
