It is worthwhile expending 2-3 hours promenading in this park taking photographs with it as backdrop. Have a seat at a sheltered area enjoying the breeze, whilst listening to the rustling of leaves and chirping of birds. Rather relaxing indeed.

A rollerskating rink, a vast children's playground and a 3D theater are but a few unexpected surprises I found, as I progressed on my walk that day. I enjoyed watching some of the elders play Xiang Qi (chinese chess) while others practiced more intensive activities...More

During my childhood, I spent a short period of time staying in Shantou at my dad's property. One of the garden that I visited was Zhongshan Park. Today, I still find the garden with many interesting attractions. This is a place definitely worth visiting.

Zhongshan Park, adjacent to the old and very crowded (well, it IS China, right?) city center, is a pleasant and quiet get-away. There are paths and avenues winding around a lovely small lake (with paddle boats for rent) through groves of trees and flowering flora....More

Kind of a popular park for the locals, with an amusement park, a rollerskate rink and a tea garden. Don't drink the bubble tea.

There's a park, obviously. Then there's a zoo. The design is sadly the traditional steel cage. But for kids, it's still great and they get to feed the hippo. Then there ice skating rink (we didn't have the energy to walk so far as it...More

A nice park to take a morning stroll, as many locals gather here to exercise, practise their Chinese martial arts and even classical Chinese music performance with string and wind instruments. Beautiful gardens adorn with blooming flowers and five small man made islands as you...More
