Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

cool theme park - much bigger than any u would find in the uk. quite a few rollercoasters (around 4-5 iirc). spent a whole 11 hours there, having arrived at 10am. most good rides open at roughly 11am but the gold mine rollercoaster is open at 10.

as u would expect , food and drink inside is a lot more expensive inside BUT they do allow u to bring in your own so u don't have to spend if ya don't want :)

most rides are 1.4m - 1.9m but there is one or two for kids just over 1m. Also a big play area for young children too (they get free entry) if you're letting your older kids have their own fun.

the 'better' rides usually take around 30mins to queue for throughout the day (even at 8pm) so i would advise u to arrive early for a day's fun.

also there are quite a few thrilling water rides so don't dress too heavy (they sell ponchos and leg covers too for 10¥ at the rides)

long review but hope it helps lol :)

The theme park has five roller coasters, primarily for young children. That said, some of the rides are for teens and daring adults. Many attendees where wearing masks.

Such a huge place, but still feels almost deserted. Locals told me that it's placed in a wrondäg part of the city and that's why there is a shortage of visitors. Can't really recommend it to anyone.

Recent visit not really impressive one, this first few Theme parks set up in the early 90s to bring "Joy" to Shenzhen is quite dated and aged. No clear signs of new innovations and many "attractions" lack maintenance. Some rides even looked scary. Should look for national body or corporate sponsors to revamp this once iconic development of the New Shenzhen.

This place is definitely interesting, and if you are into rollercoasters it does offer a few decent ones, however its a bit run down and in need of renovation. Good for a day out but as with all theme parks don't visit on holidays and avoid weekends if possible.

To be honest, I didn’t like it at all.
Much better to spend time visiting the Chinese Folk Park (n1), and/or the Windows of the World (n2).

One third of the park was closed (the pools), some activities were still under construction (thus closed), and some others were simply .. closed (without reason).
We focused on only 4 interesting ones, which were, ok, funny.

The park, strangely, mixes activities still in construction, and others aging and already rusty (with holes !). In the (paying) ice underground, among the 5-like bouncing cars shown on the adverting picture, only one was working correctly (and a second one, so so).

I usually don’t write negative comments, but this park deserves it.

The only advantage of this park is that it was almost .. empty of visitors.

It’s very Chinese and many of the rides are quite scary but safe. Some of it’s a bit tatty, but it’s lively and fun.

It takes at least 1 hour minimum to get on the good rides. So plan your time well, bring a snack and your adventure spirit!

Accessibility: We need to walk around 5-10 minutes from the exit of Window of world subway station, keep walking in the opposite direction of the Window of world (the one with Eiffel tower).

Although there are decent amount of rides for kids, many rides require to be taller than 120cm, which my daughter fell short of and was disappointed.

We didnt find many options for food, we had lunch at some chinese place, which was just about eatable because we were hungry.

There was a japanese era live performance which i thought was both funny and good.
Water park was closed, and lot of area in other sections seemed to require some renovation, not well maintained. Sunshine beach was under maintenance, in any case it seems a very small area.

Overall, if you have no other plans in Shenzhen, you can surely visit this park for a leisure day. Kids would enjoy, but need to walk a lot (though you can also hire scooter).
