I am travelling to Zhongshan city almost in every year for last 4-5 years on business purposes so my review is mainly for the people who will travel on business but also get a chill time say few hours per day. Others, please do not judge by this one alone but read couple of reviews done by leisure travelers. Travel:... More

Well the city is designed very European way - I loved every bit of it. The architecture & infrastructure is very modern & replicates few American cities. Well done Chinese Government for building cities like these !

It is not a big city with people walking around in a very relaxing mode. Shops are everywhere and the prices of the stuff are reasonble cheap for travellers to shop. People are nice and gentle.

This is a working industrial city with relatively clean air because it is close to the South China Sea (near Macao). There has been strong investment here from Taiwan and the city has a people-friendly heart with interesting shopping precincts. Foreign visitors are relatively rare, and eating out without Chinese is definitely an adventure. Try the Chairman Mao restauratant on... More

First of all, I would rank Zhongshan as the number one city of southern China, for the peaceful residential life and the tidiness of the environment and the modernization of all the facilities. Zhongshan is about three hours by car and one and half hour by ferry, from Hong Kong international Airport. Zhongxing Road is the main road at the... More

And i enjoyed every corner of that town. From the catholic street and the main market to the expats bars and opera house, i quickly felt at home there. There are not a lot of expats in that small town of 1.4 millions so get used to being stared at by all the people you meet. Loved the baozi on... More
