The statue in the middle of the calm sea is a serene sight. However, there isn't much to see in the area surrounding the statue aside from the beach. Information pertaining to the legend behind the icon is also not available at the site. Be careful on the paved stone platform in front of the statue. The railings are only... More

It is a statue, not that impressive, it is in the middle of the bay, jst as a statue, not impressive, but the legend behind it is very interesting....it is a mythical tale which is cool...google it or something, worth the read if you are going to see it....

While walking along the lover road, i usually saw lots of tourists taking photo of this landmark. This landmark really represent Zhuhai. The only concern is it is near to the road and cause lots of traffic congestion. It will be nice to build a bridge to avoid the trafic jam.

This iconic statue set in the sea and mounted on rocks near the shore is supposed to keep Zhuhai safe from typhoons. It is a relatively new statue but an obvious draw to native Chinese who were plentiful on the shore and on the walkways and platforms which provided the best views of the statue. It's worth a look but... More

It is a status on the Zhuhai beach. I didn't find any special attraction except at night water comes up and we should go to the status with bare feet.

Go only when you're in the neighborhood. The Lover's Road is more of an 'attraction'. I pass by it on my way from Zhuhai to Zhongshan.

The place where the statue is located is fine but for a tourist attraction, there is a lack of food stalls or other amenities close by.

If you are in Zhuahi, you can visit this place as it's not a trap as mentioned in other reviews. It's a nice peaceful calm area where you can spend few hours and get away from crowded Zhuhai for some time. Overall a good place to visit if you have time.
