I love this area, I stay at the Marco Polo on business, and this area is picturesque, and interesting to walk along. There is always something happening, kite flying, Tai Chi, top Spinning, kids playing on the riverbank, boats to watch. The area has lot's of greenery, ope spaces and leisure areas. If you want to exercise, chill out or... More

If you are staying in Wuhan for some time and need to time pass, you can concider to visit. Specially a good place to enjoy the time during summer / autumn evening. It is beside the Wuhan Science and Technology Museum. Nearest metro station is Jianghan Street (line 2). You need to exit through gate C and walk about 700... More

Known as Wuhan's answer to Shanghai's famous Bund, this is the river front esplanade that runs from bridge to bridge along the Yangtze river. I visited in August 2016 and the river was so low that families were splashing in the water on beaches that lined the river front. At night, there is an amazing light show to see on... More

The park is constructed to be a sustainable and green structure. For the most part it is free but if you are tired there is an electric golf cart for 15 yuan a person and the river boat cruises for 150-300 yuan if you want food v. Day/night cruises. There is a train car in the beginning of the park... More

Went for a three hour stroll and trolley ride with my Chinese brother-in-law and while we could not carry on a conversation per-se, we had a great visit. As others have noted, there is a wide variety of exercise equipment scattered through out the park. After watching a lot of people flying kites, i decided to buy some to take... More

We went there for a short walk after dinner. There were some riverside cherry trees which were blossoming and monuments with large rock tablets of fine sculptures featuring the historical past of Wuhan. The neon lights of buildings across Yangtze River and the tall buildings and pre-WWII low-rises along the main road all made good subjects of photos both at... More

We visited here a couple of times during our stay in Wuhan. The weather was perfect. Lots of people were out. Kids were flying kites. Some were roller blading at the roller blading park. There are exercise types of equipment all through out the park to encourage exercise. We loved the sculpted gardens the most. We were here in early... More

I was told that the Beach Park is a wonderful place to watch the Yangtze river from, especially in the evening when the lights come on. The mid-morning is also an excellent time for a visit. The park consists of a promenade, from which you can descent to the level of the water on one side, and wander off into... More

We went with local friends at sunset and watched scores of groups of women (mostly) doing their version of aerobic exercises, men (mostly) doing some kind of exercise where they use a long whip to make a wicker basket with a pointy end spin around, kids in-line skating, young adults jogging and most of all, close to a hundred large... This park along the ChangJiang (or Yangtze) river is a nice place to stroll and see local culture. At sunset, the park comes alive as people come to exercise, swim, dance, and play with family and friends.
