The three Gorges are really spectacular, and the small boat used to visit the gorges made for an interesting trip, with plenty of photo opportunities. The guide, who has produced a photo book of the gorges, was simply spectacular.

Went through the locks at night. Very impressive. The side tours up the small gorges where great. Lots of local culture and information.

This is something which I see on movies only. I couldn't believe how beautiful the scenery of the three Gorges. I highly recommend this place to everybody who visit China. The place is well organized for the purpose of tourists. We had a chance to climb on the mountain to visit the castle. For those who can't climb, there is... More

Absolutely stunning and you cannot visit china without visiting the gorges and the gorgeous scenery. Well worth the money and time.

I did the cruise through the 3 Gorges a few years ago, and I still found the scenery beautiful and the lock system amazing. We were lucky with the weather - not too hazy - so the gorges could be appreciated. We went through the locks at night and I stayed on deck throughout and was fascinated with it how... More

We did the trip from Yangching to chongging. The scenery was just beautiful. The highlight was going up through the loch system and our boat passengers stayed up till 11 just to watch the boat go through. Lots of great tours along the river and lots of amazing scenery along the way. We really enjoyed this.

...therefore you must! But I found the three gorges cruise rather dull. Some of the scenery is certainly beautiful, but by no means all of it. You'll see as many power stations and factories belching out fumes as you will rocky cliffs and forests. There just didn't seem enough to see to warrant three days sailing through terrain that looks... More

The scenery is so beautiful. I took a ton of pictures. I took the cruise from Yichang to CHongquin and the first gorge, Xiling, is the longest and the deepest. The gorge is stunning. Wu Gorge is the second longest and is also beautiful. The third is Qutang gorge and it is very small, maybe about 10-15 minutes cruise time.... More

A really varied experience with all three gorges offering different but breathtaking scenery. So much to see and it is sometimes hard to know where to look. We loved all three gorges and something to see at every time of day

Cruised down the Three Gorges on a three night cruise from Chongquing to Yichang. To be honest, we went to Jiuzhaigao before hand which was simply stunning mountainous scenery and far more up close and personal with the locals. This was great, but set the bar high for the Three Gorges. The most spectacular part of the Gorges came on... More
