The scenery and tour and tour guides were excellent. The sights of 3 gorges dam, Shennong Stream, Mianzhu Parrot & Longcangdong Gorge were all spectacular. The cruise ship itself was average and the food was poor quality. There was an upgrade for westerners available which...More

We visited in November, as part of a TripADeal tour, not really knowing what to expect. The Three Gorges Dam was massive and it's sheer scope was stunning. The area was full of natural beauty and we enjoyed seeing it very much. Looking at the...More

The dam is very impressive but cruise boats are not allowed through the lock. Instead, it may be possible to ride on a smaller boat up or down the "boat lift" which I missed because it was too early but those who did it reported...More

Cruising the gorges - quite nice. Very scenic leading up to the dam itself. What a picturesque location culminating in the world’s biggest dam. All you can say is wow.

We did 3 excursions on our yangtze river cruise however the tribe of the 3 gorges was the definate highlight. Yes it is a replica village because the original villages were destroyed for the dam project, but the way it has been recreated is faultless....More

We went there last month, it was a great experience to learn how great our country is. As I am not much interested in science stuff, but only from the outlook, this place is definitely worth of going! Beautiful nature and amazing human work!

Our cruise through the three gorges was nice but not remarkable. It was relaxing and the weather was cooperative. The absolute highlight of the cruise was the overview of the dam. Unfortunately, there is no tour of the facility itself.

The three gorges area is some of the most beautiful in the world. It almost reminded us of Canadian Shield country with the rocks and water. . It was misty or foggy most of the time which simply added to the mystery. We were on...More
