I've seen some museums in China that have objects with dubious authenticity, but these items seem genuine. I made it through the new building quite quickly and was mildly disappointed with the range of silks, paintings and carved jade etc, but then realised i was...More

This I M Pei architectural jewel is a delight. Wonderful gardens, breathtaking artefacts and best coffee shop - I love this place

The displays are exceptional for an average sized museum. There are several rooms with exquisite displays of statues, pottery, brass and carved items. There are rooms of old books and beautiful scrolls showing landscapes, portraits, life in ancient China and calligraphy. The curation is exceptionally...More

Give yourself time to tour this museum and to visit the shop. The design of the museum is beautiful and the quality of the items displayed make it worth the visit.

The museum exhibits aren't great, however it's worth a trip purely for the architecture of the building. Combine the trip here with Ping jan road and Humble Administrator's garden as they are all in the same area and together they make for a good day...More

The museum was just ok compared to other museums we have visited in China. The building design was interesting. The walk from the Linden Lu Metro station (Exit 1) was about 20 minutes. I would definitely not stand in a queue or make a special...More

Boring museum with not much to offer. There are larger museums in Suzhou that are worth checking out. The architecture is very interesting though with a very modern twist of ancient Chinese structures. 很无聊的一个地方,没什么看点。可是很多地方拍照,他的建构非常特别,带着现代又有一点复古风味,值得一来参观它的设计。

A small museum but modern design. It is free admission this year and not too busy on the week days. I strongly recommand visit the historical building and garden next door. You can access through the museum side door and I enjoyed so much.

It was raining and my family decided to visit this museum. Admission was free. The whole facility was clean and well organized. We managed to catch a glimpse of the ancient artifacts that were displayed. It was a worthy museum experience for my family!

I M Pei was born in Suzhou and so this was a very special building for him. He did it at the end of his life and gave his work and design to the city as a gift. There is rather a touching film about...More

I didn't explore the galleries at all, rather I chose to explore the interior architecture and the veiws from the outside. I was rather museumed out and there wasn't enough time to do it all justice.
