Binhai Road runs from Xinghai Square right along the coast in an easterly direction (not sure how far). There is a well laid out wooden walkway as a pavement on the seaward side of the road and we saw a monument which it was claimed to be the longest boardwalk in the world? Views are spectualar, we walked as far... More

Go there and you have a mixture of the mountains and the sea. Great views and a nice place for picnic or just strolling around

Tips to add to other reviewers: I caught # 30 bus on Renmin St and it took about 25 minutes and cost 1 yuan. Get off as soon as you get to the theme park as the bus turned right and the next stop was a good ten minutes walk away. Easy to follow the route. Toilets along the way.... More

The scenery along the road is beautiful. I would suggest walking, at least a part of it. There's some parks along the way, and other things. The coast looked beautiful, although, I never found a path too walk down to the shore, except at the beaches. Climbing over the fence and just walking straight down to the water shouldn't be... Binhai lu is the most beautiful scenic area in Dalian. It has the longest wooden walkway in the world and holds Guinness world record to prove that. It's scenic, air is pleasant and has a magic slope where the downdlope is upslope and vice versa. Haizhiyun park, Bangchui island, Laohutan ocean park are all are all on the way, so,... More

Binhai road is one of those places the locals rate very high. It is a road that winds along a cliff high above the seashore. However, there is not much to see. Is it worth a visit. Possibly if you have some spare time on your hand but in my opinion you wouldn't miss much f you didn't go.

I visited this place in May 2015. The road is scenic - passes by the sea side.. lot of attractions on the way, but very crowded! I guess a week day trip would be better..

Nice long walk in the nature, very relaxing. If you have a car, it's a lovely drive along the coast.
