This City Square is spread over a large area with shops and food outlets all around together with some walking space in the middle of the city to enjoy the sceneries and the monument/tower encircling areas.

I stumbled upon this square by accident on my way to the Baotu Spring Park. It's a nice, good sized square. I was fortunate to visit on a sunny day so I was able to watch various group activities, such as a outdoor saxophone lessons and tai chi, and there were lots of people out flying kites. You couldn't really... More

This is probably one of the best public squares I have ever seen in China. At night it is really enjoyable to be there. Many people gather to perform different kinds of activities...there are those who dance, those who fly their kites, those who use their skateboards, some others who whip their toy tops, some others who play badminton and... This could be considered the center of the city, near a lot of malls and restaurants. Good for a night/day time stroll.

This is a very nice open area with a fountain at one end, great for walking or letting kids run, in the city. Underneath are many shops, including a supermarket, a McDonalds, and bakery. This is a great place to unwind from the chaos of the city for a bit. There are several nice pedestrian overpasses that provide safe passage... More

Other than the water show the square has got very little to offer, but as it is bang in the middle of things, it's always on the way. I cross it often but never stay.

We found this to be a great stop during the day and really interesting at night. Wish the large lotus-shaped fountain could run more of the time. We only saw it briefly although we staying in the area of the plaza for three days. At night there are vendors and lots of local people just enjoying the plaza. It is... More

This square can be considered the central area in Jinan. It is an open space park, with many shops and malls surrounding the area. At the basement, there is a McDonald's, a bakery shop, department store with a supermarket. The first time I was there around 4pm, there were only a few locals gathering there - relaxing, kite flying, exercising... More
