Qingdao Beach

Beautiful stretch of sand, long and die. Great for a morning run, as the sand is wet after the tie has receded, which makes it for a good surface. The beam is about 1.5 miles... read more

Qingdao is in Shandong province, which is a famous blue city in China. When I arrive in Qingdao, I fell my world become very clean. And the people is very friendly. I remember that I lost my way, come back to the hotel, I asked for help to the people, then they take me to the hotel. So, I think... More

Beautiful stretch of sand, long and die. Great for a morning run, as the sand is wet after the tie has receded, which makes it for a good surface. The beam is about 1.5 miles long, and about 200-300 years wide. Visited in the Fall, so it is not crowded. I did not go in the water. Overall, I recommend... More

Typical Pacific beach which is to say beautiful. Love the salt-water smell. Not too many people, better to visit in the spring because when it gets hot it gets crowded.

We lived in Qingdao for six months. It's a lovely city. We had a great time. However, we know of a place where raw sewage spews into the sea. Before we left, China had a terrible green algae that they tried to blame on global warming; Western scientists said it proliferates in seas where there is sewage and bacteria in... More

I am living in Qingdao, and I go to the beach several times a month. It is beautiful and charming when you walking alongside the beach. When you see there is a line between sea and the sky, while sometime the line just fade away, it is amazing.

We visited Qingdao seafront on a sunny afternoon, from Qianqiao then eastwards until we reached May-4th Square. It was a long walk and the seafront changes from rocky to sandy alternatively. The rocky part is not really for walking. The sandy part is a beach where there are many local swimmers but the water was a bit too cold to... More

Coming from Australia, I'm a little biased in judging beaches. However this is not bad and worth a visit.

The beach offers a beautiful view of the peninsula and has plenty of space. I visited in autumn but can imagine this place filling up over the summer. Couldn't swim when I visited due to jellyfish concerns but a great sight and a must see if you're in Qingdao.

There is just too much nicer island and beach in Malaysia, Thailand or Philippines. So Qingdao Beach for me is really not as impressive. It attracts more to Chinese tourist instead of international tourist.

I was born in Qingdao but left there in 1939, not sure I can rate this place. Qingdao was a German enclave from 1870 until WWII. It reverted to China after the war and and when the Japanese left. My dad was stationed there in the Navy in 1939, that is why I was born there. Because of the German... More
