We went there with 2 toddlers in the strollers, first there’s subway a bit far away from it, then when you get there and get the tickets, you are getting in. There’s no easy access for strollers, many stairs inside the place, we had to...More

Worthwhile, especially if your kids are Octonaut fans. All sorts of specimen jars as you go in, then some dodgy taxidermy and a huge model sperm whale and then diwn into the underwater world bit with big rays and a conveyor belt walkway. We went...More

The Dolphin show is the best. Large overhead aquarium with variety of fish. Plan a half day to explore.

We read the reviews and decided to go anyway and were positively surprised by what we saw. The only bad bit was the mammal area which was very smelly and a little dirty. The rest of the exhibits were well maintained and clean and my...More

The average Westerner would be appalled by the conditions at the Qingdao Underwater World... So, DON'T be the average Westerner. While not up to the standards of Europe or the United States, this educational experience is probably where the West was in the 1970's. The...More

When we first walked it, it was full of exhibits and models of sea creatures , skeletons, and jars of preserved sea animals. And we almost feared that that was it, so we were relieved when we found the actual start of the aquarium. Overall,...More
