Great for kids - now refurbished, access is free with passports/ ID . Foreigners can get tickets from desk in ticket reservation office to the right of the museum entrance. A kids zone, films, lots of interactive displays and labeled in Chinese and English

The museum does not accept walk visits. It requires to book a session through their website. However, the website is in Chinese and payment is difficult if you do not have any local online payment methods. One reason to visit the place is to visit...More

Closed until September 2017 or later. Undergoing much needed renovation work. Located behind the Mao statue on Tianfu Square

We went there, but they are closed for renovation until 2017-09. It's a large museum from the outside and should be interesting. Rated three stars because we didn't go there.

What can I say, its free. Most of the exhibits were broken, and the ones that were working were of fairly poor quality. Half of the lights were turned off and there was not much staff around. It seems as if this museum has been...More

Interactive displays good for children. Unfortunately lots of the interactive parts of most of those displays were not working. Might be a good place to take children. Free!

I loved this museum and it was also free. There are lots of interesting exhibitions and it is a real insight into Chinese contribution to science - and I liked how there were lots of varied sections. I also loved the robot that was playing...More
