Sichuan University has more than one campus. Previously I had been to the city campus near Wangjiang Pavilion Park which was not that interesting. This time I caught a bus from that area to another campus south near the airport. This campus was quite attractive and very pleasant to walk around. There is a decent sizes lake, and wooded park... I've studied there for 6 months thanks to the Confucius Institute scholarship. The dorm for foreigners is near the north gate, rooms are quite small and the toilet is shared, there are 2 showers and 2 wc (turkish one) each floor. The fuwuyuan are very nice and they clean the toilet once per day. There are a kitchen and a... More

Sichuan University can be honorably called one of the best universities in China. Today, this university consists of three beautiful campuses: Wangjiang, Huaxi and Jiang'an. It creates perfect opportunities to learn something and in the future find your place in the world.

It is a university, it has some nice spots to take a couple photos but if you don't have business on campus then there are much better places to be in chengdu.

I had the opportunity to visit the Sichuan University this past summer to participate in a two week summer program. This is a great university to teach with three great campuses in the city of Chengdu. I teached at the Wangjang campus in the center of Chengdu. You don't feel that you are in a busy city when you are... More

Visiting here in late autumn was my best experience ever in Sichuan university. The gingko trees are around the campus and make the place look like fairy land

I attend Sichuan University as a student, and over the past months I've learned there are many hidden gems within the walls. It is a peaceful place to walk after dinner and has some fantastic places to buy snack foods and get your hair done. Near South Gate, hidden amongst tall and quiet apartment buildings is a coffee house that... More

The main gate (north) is beautiful with lily pad laden ponds and a traditional doorway. I frequent the main campus to play basketball on one of the biggest public courts available in the city. The competition there can range from casual to really tough.

A nice place for a walk. The campus is huge... in parts of the campus we felt like we had already ventured out since people and vehicular traffic was quite high. Old buildings, lots of big trees... guess if you like history you may enjoy the campus, but for me it lacked wow factor.
