Since there's not a lot to do in Ningbo, this was a good time killer. Spent an hour or so there just wandering around the gardens etc. It charges 30 RMB entrance fee.

Arguably the best place to visit in Ningbo. Oldest private library in china, is a wonderful garden with excellent landscape pavilions and ponds. I used to go there with our students .Must visit

Great combination of traditional architecture, gardens, and history. Quite good English language displays too. Convenient location right in the city. If you're in Ningbo not to be missed....and honestly nicer than a lot of more famous garden areas in China.

Allow a couple of hours to wander around this series of courtyards and pavillions. Enter by the Western gate and leave by the Southern. 30RMB Afterwards, spend some time in the nearby Yuehu (Moon Lake) Park

The Tianye Pavilion Museum beside Moon Lake is China's oldest surviving private library (with a fascinating history) and one of the three oldest family libraries in the world. It's actually a walled compound, beautifully preserved, with traditional style Chinese buildings and lovely gardens and water...More

This is a gem! I was stunned by the beauty and the cultural environment involved here. A must see. The volunteer guides are knowledgable and helpful.

Very quiet when we went on a Monday afternoon so made for a relaxing few hours. Signs are in Chinese, English, Korean and Japanese so you can find out about the history. Essentially it’s just rebuilt pavilions and classical gardens. Well worth a visit.

Sorry but I am not familiar enough with the destination, one of the reasons being that I was driven there by friends and not by taxi! Good luck and have a nice stay!
