I really like how well this museum flows. It tells a story about the Caribbean coast and is easy to follow (provided you speak/read Spanish!). Quite a few exhibits were out of order but it's still a good place to visit.

El Museo del Caribe is a must see and experience. It's an interactive museum - you can touch many of the exhibits, you can even learn how to dance. The people from Barranquilla consider themselves more Caribbean than Colombian.

I enjoyed the graphics & artifacts. The opening presentation was very cool. I don't speak fluently, so I couldn't understand everything, but I still enjoyed it.

The museum is in Spanish only. So it's not really worth going if you can't understand or read as there is a lot of reading to do. The museum is divided in different sections. Each floor covers a different topic. Personally I was disappointed. The "music floor" only had video installations of people playing music but no explanations about the... More

This modern museum shows both the history of Barranquilla and the history of the carribean as a whole. There was a lot of information on native tribes, their customs, language, folklore etc. The displays are interesting and worth a visit.

It was nice. Have a great bulging for showing everything you need to know about Caribbean people from Colombia. Maybes I was expecting more fun and not that learning. They should show everything at least in English too.

In spite of reading other reviewers and their caution of medium to advanced Spanish proficiency, we felt it was necessary to visit one museum to get a sense of this area and of the history. We achieved neither, as without Spanish the mostly interactive exhibits meant nothing to us. The staff although friendly, are not trained to assist with translations... More

This is a beautifully designed and curated museum -- really I had no idea that Barranquilla would have such an excellent museum. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this area.

I learned something about Colombians Caribbeans, their folklore , music. Building have 4th floors with several rooms to appreciate their culture. If you want to spend an hour and half or so to learn about history then this is the place in town.

I did have a good time going through this so called museum however I felt that there is so much more to Barranquilla and this was not totally represented I am not suggesting by any means that its not worth a visit but choose the timing of your visit carefully as the neighborhood is not a safe one
