Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

La Ermita stands on a busy boulevard. Still, it keeps a solemn mood inside where devotees can focus on praying and tourists do not just walk around taking photos. It highlights a gothic Caleño style architecture, which i find beautiful.

Certainly this church stands out and you simply can’t miss it if you happen to be walking around centro Cali and be if you find yourself here just stop for a moment and really see the architecture as it is unique.
You need to look past some graffiti and trash strewn around along with some unpleasant smells, this is central Cali after all but when and if you can you walk away with a good impression of this historic church.
Albeit the inside of the church is just so-so and the exterior is splendid.
Enjoy your visit to Cali!

This church is like a jewel. There are many things interesting about it, and also a miracle that happend and from which they made it.

A beautiful Gothic styled Church in the heart of downtown Cali. You will seldom see a poster or postcard of Cali without La Hermita being prominently featured. Be prepared with your camera, you will undoubtedly be taking many pictures.

Didn't plan to visit it specifically but came there when walking through the city. It's very impressive architecture and it's just great to see it with own eyes. I think it's the most beautiful one so far (until now we didn't see Santuario de las Lajas around Ipiales). In general a nice environment to make a stroll during the day and quiet centrally located.

It's certainly not the oldest church, nor the larges, but it really is beautiful. It is in the heart of downtown Cali just across the river from the CAM. Just behind it is the Park of the Poets. Now that the Av. Colombia has been taken underground, you no longer have to use a bridge to cross the street.
Stick your head in if you're passing buy. It is right beside the MIO station of the same name. I had to laugh at the question "Would this be a good cold day activity?" A cold day? In CALI? Be serious.

It's worth stopping here for some pics as you explore the city centre of Cali. If you go early in the morning you will probably encounter a service in the church. Surrounding area is pretty rough, with plenty of graffiti and poverty in evidence.

La Ermita hurch had been a little neglected in the past due to the turbulant history of the area. The new mayors seems to be restoring the beauty of Cali and is spending a lot of effort to restoring is past. Although singularly not the icon of Cali, it is now worth the trip.

Unique structure but not well looked after. The facade was dirty and parts looked like they were coming apart. Inside is simple and nice. There was some sort of ceremony going on when we went.

The short answer is that I don't know. My hunch is that they don't but Colombia always surprises and they may well have an English service for expats. Unfortunately, you will have to go to the Chapel and find out but it's worth the trip even if they don't have an English language service.
