Such a great time, the band was great & the recorded salsa music playing during the rest of the night was classic. We got a chance to dance, have conversations with fellow patrons. The bands start around 11 - 11:30 p.m., so ignore the 9 p.m. start time they may tell you. But you may want to get there before... More

You just have to go for the history and music and the vibe. Great place and fun. Everything including the cover charge is overpriced though....

I am an old lady who never goes out to hear music at home, but this place was fantastic! We arrived at 9:30 for a 11:30 show on a Monday night, which was too early as we could have arrived an hour later and still gotten a table. But we whiled away the time chatting in our terrible Spanish with... More

Best place to have fun and dance salsa in Cartagena (with live music) I went there with some friends, and we loved the place. The only negative thing is that it´s always crowded.

Plentiful a la carte rums to choose from. Barranquillan, Cartagenian and Colombian rums to taste by the glass. With ice or in shots, a great place to be in the old city. Prefered to be visited late at night, but on fridays go before 8 pm to get a good seat with friends.

We went there and we ordered 3 mojitos and 1 Cuba libre, and all of them were tasting as a pure etanol alcohol and the bottle from where they poured was hidden behind the counter, we like the live music there and we went to have a nice time no right away have the feeling like almost pass out. We... More

The cover to get in is 20,000 pesos and if you come after 9pm, the floor (i.e. the narrow walkway between the bar and the tables) is packed! You barely have any space to stand let alone dance or find a dance partner if you're out with the girls. It's a cool experience to see the live band (a little... More

Really loved this bar! It's got a great atmosphere going on! We saw a live band which was awesome...playing all the latin sounds. We danced, we drank and we had fun. The decor is fantastic. It creates a good ambience for the band. They don't allow males in wearing vest tops so make sure you have a tshirt. This bar... More

Cafe Havana is a must do place in Cartagena. It has amazing live music nights starting from wednesday till sunday. IMPORTANT: it gets pretty crowded so being early is important to get a table. If it is too crowded you might end up just having a drink and walk out the place!

I am not sure how this place is during the day, but I went at night and it was a great party. 20,000 peso cover charge. Live Cuban band. Everybody was salsa dancing. There was a great mix of locals and tourists. Very lively and positive atmosphere. Everyone from ages 25-65 were in the building enjoying themselves. It gets really... More
