Unfortunately, we did not enter in the Cathedral, but we admired the baroque style of the building which dates back to the 16th century. It is currently the seat of the Archbishop, one of the oldest episcopal seats in the Americas.

Anything inside the historic part of Cartagena is worth visiting. Every building has a story and the city in itself is full of character.

One of the nice buildings of the old city we passed up with our tourguide. They just started a service, so we could not enter.

Unfortunately this beautiful church is closed for renovation. When will it open again for visitors is anybody's guess! but you can walk by and admire the beautiful facade. Dont miss the musicians on the square in front of the church.

We could not go in due to renovation, however this building was right down the street from our hotel. My tip is to locate your hotel related to St. Catherine tower, and you can always find you way back along the narrow winding streets. Would...More

We couldn't see the inside because it is being renovated, but it is very impressive from the outside and since we stayed at an apartment on Plaza de Bolivar, we were bowled over at how lovely the tower looked illuminated at night
