Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The photo here is not on the main university campus but in the center (on Ayacucho street, parque San Ignacio) but the main campus is quite big and beautiful, although it is closed to the public so if you are not a student it will be hard to get in. There is nothing special inside anyway, is just a big university!

So we wanted to see the museum that was in the middle of the university and it was closed the day we came. You actually cant even get on the university grounds without a university ID. We just asked the guards if we could go to the museum and take a look around the university and they let us in though. The university is very nice and it was interesting to read all the wall paintings and messages around the university.

This is a destination for students only, while Universidad de Antioquia counts about 40K students, doesn't have real attractions or Old buildings worth visit. It's been influenced by communist/Marxist ideologies for over 50 years, you may frequently find it closed due to disturbs, explosives launched by masked terrorists, there are serious drug issues, a black market of all sorts and you are required to present a student ID at the gates, otherwise you need an appointment, Instead of this, you may visit the planetarium, Parque Explora or the Botanical Garden just a few feet away.

A great university with a nice campus and grounds but not exactly a tourist destination. The campus buildings have strong security so you can't see everything without permission from some university official.

Nothing special. Nonetheless interesting to see the campus. While I wouldn't make it a specific destination, a fine drive-through spot.

The location of this place reminded me of Europe. It is in a beautiful plaza called San Ignacio. The church here is very colonial and reminded of Spain! Great architecture all around the block!!!!

I was with a friend who teaches English at this university. the vibe is really calm. although I don't know if you as a foreigner just can visit it... wel the place is really big and with all the students all around the place is really relaxed. walk around and see the book sellers, foodcantina and the art all over the terrain.

The University Museum has the oldest and largest Anthropological collection in Latin America. The Museum Curator, Sr. Fernando Valencia Velez is excellent. He arranged an English speaking student guide to show me the museum. He and his staff, take great pride in the museum. They are extremely helpful. Do NOT miss this opportunity to visit this exciting and fun, museum! Jon
