Carlos, firstly I wanna say this is so overdue! We went on this tour in June 2019. It was just my friend and I. Carlos was so cool, and a great storyteller throughout the whole tour. He built an entire atmosphere for us in the tour with audio tape recordings and personal anecdotes. The cherry on top, we got lucky at Pablo’s secret prison, and we stepped into a Netflix documentary with none other than Pablo Escobar’s son filming. It got really personal for Carlos. An emotional moment where Netflix was filming their interaction. It added so much emotional gravitas to the tour. Ask him about this when you book him! Maybe you’ll get lucky!…

Lina was very helpful when we needed to change our tour from the afternoon to the morning. Carlos was also very friendly but I was kind of disappointed due to the following: - Carlos was the guide and the driver, so we spent good portions of the tour going from parking lots to the touristic areas; I would recommend that you do as many others, having a driver that lives you at the exact touristic place and the pick you up. We could have used this time entering the old churches or visiting other places. - Carlos didn’t take advantage of the time we were in the car, to talk about Medellín and its history; we ended asking many many questions to get some details and to fill the time while he was drving. I think the tour is OK but it could be much better.…

My guide Carlos was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. One byproduct from the tour was being able to see the beautiful of Medellin and it's surrounding areas.

Daniela our guide was brilliant. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Escobar’s life - but also how he impacted socially and politically on the country. She gave us a great level of detail about the places we visited - but it didn’t feel rehearsed or agenda’d and we went off on lots of interesting tangents during our time together. I’d definitely recommend La Cathedral extra as it really blew my mind how much power Escobar had to build his own prison.…
