I don't understand why people think this is a zoo. It's not even close to be one. This is a place for people who are looking to spend a peaceful and relax time. The hike is kinda hard a lot of rocks (a lot) and you have to cross few rivers so make sure you bring boots. They have many... More

This is a place that is still to be finished, but the animals you can find are well cared for and allow you to know some endemic species as well as foreign species. The African part resembles a sabana with enormous baobabs and a big pot to cook captive people :) They will bring elephants soon and other ecosystems will... More

The zoo is still incomplete, at only stage 2 out of 7. At the moment, you can visit the Andean and African sections and they are absolutely amazing! The whole architecture and design is beautiful, and the habitats look really good. They also have some sections on natives tribes and such that are really nice to see. The best part... More

Unless it´s not finished, the premises and animal habitats are excellent. By the moment there are no many animals. But this is not a reason to not visit the park. It´s a good effort and the animals and habitats actually exhibited deserves you a great experience.

This is the newly built Zoo for Pereira, where the animals from the previous Zoo are being transferred. the grounds are beautiful but they are not so many animals yet. So you would be visiting a zoo that has 30% of is occupancy capacity. I would wait one more year before paying the high price for a theme park.

this is supposed to be the new zoo but many animals are still missing, the habitats are not finished although the metal work that decorates each habitat is original and beautiful.

There is one thing you should do in Pereira, and it is visiting the Regional Park Ucumari. Close to the city, it is the perfect opportunity to know the nature that surrounds he city. With several waterfalls, nice cabins, kilometers of trails and the most beautiful nature. You should go and stay in La Pastora at least for a couple... More
