Beautiful place. I especially loved the view of the ocean as it meets the jungle. Wild rolling waves on a windswept beach. Really picturesque. Didn't like the crowds on the beaches bit this is a toudist attraction. Would have loved to explore this area more....More

If you like hiking (or trekking) then this is the park for you. You can't get anywhere without walking up and down a mountain to get to the beaches. The beaches are very nice but can be crowded.

I was very disappointed with this park. I had read so much about it and felt I could not miss it. We paid 56,000 COP (about $20 US) just to get into the park for the day; that is after standing in line for about...More

Tayrona is just stunning, a must do for anybody who visits Colombia. Stay for the night but don't stop at the first campsite, the second is close to the beach where swimming is permitted. If you feel fit, take the 2 hour walk and traverse...More

We just went for the day and I was pretty unwell but the place was amazing. Scenery is beautiful, the walk is great. The beaches were pretty busy, but we were told we were there at peak time (early Jan). We booked tickets online and...More

The vendor (not PNNT) was pretty crappy, the tents were crammed in together with unwashed sheets and a rather disgusting bathroom. This is Colombia, I'm not looking for much; but the lodging we had sucked. The Park itself was a huge let done. There are...More

Parque Nacional de Teyrona is absolutely beautiful. The mountains, the ocean-- it is jaw dropping. Only downside is going during high tourist times because it is loud, and the animals hide. Still, don't miss this place. Bring a pack to prepare for all weather, bugs,...More

Our family stayed at the Merecumbe, with is right on the beach, but also discreetly hidden in the most wonderful tropical gardens, surrounded by palm trees and the sound of the sea. Beautifully designed, very low-key and very stylish, lovely food (though a slightly repetitive...More

Depends on if it has been raining the day(s) before your trip. If so, then the walk is not suitable for a three year old and probably neither for a seven year old. There is a beach reward after a few hours of struggling in... More
