This is a very important piece of history in Santa Marta.... but be aware that is't just that... a status in front of a very decayed soccer stadium... if you visit the statue as part of a tour, then it's worth it, but to just visit the statue, I would not waste my time.

What a great visit to the statue of Colombia's greatest soccer player. Ask the vendors to get inside the abondond Estadio. Awesome stuff

We asked our guide to see this staue which is oversize, and brilliant. He said we were the first Europeans to request such, though all south americans want to see it. Fantastic blond hairstyle on a bronze staue. Excellent!

If you are into soccer and like him as a player then you will enjoy this. Otherwise, it's just a statue of some guy.

Not really much to see, only if youknow who El Pibe Valderrama is, the greatest soccer player in Colomba, born and raised in this beautiful city. This is his statue, very beautiful, surrounded by a stadium which is falling appart, owned by a local team which does not play in the big leagues.

Not much to say here. It's a statue of a famous athlete. I thought it was pretty cool, but not really a "must see" unless you are a big fan. I had some time to kill and was glad I saw it. You can buy a wig if you want.

If you are a football fan then you need to visit this statue...even just to say that you went. Valderrama was born in Santa Marta so clearly is idolised here. Some locals say that he often visits here so you might meet the man himself. The local team play at the stadium behind so maybe take in a game too.... More
