I had dived with this team twice before when they were still located at the Aladdin resort. So when I booked a third time and booked stay at the Aladdin resort (to avoid the long travels in busses from hotel to dive school) I was surprised to hear they have moved into town, a long drive away from the resort. Also, it seemed like it was just a few people using a boat from a different company. The instructor didn't seem to interested, picked us up the first days then kept asking us to use taxis, which he didn't always remember to pay. And underwater, on my first dive I was buddied with his girl friend who surprisingly didn't have an alternate air source. On another dive me and my buddy were left at sea to dive a little longer, only to ascend in a sea of boats and it took at least 10 minutes of swimming back and forth to find the boat. On our return the dive guide had already gone diving with some people doing their DSD. And on one of the last dives the instructor actually lost the group, he was swimming so fast and far ahead that we lost sight of him. Won't come back here unfortunately.

We booked a three day dive pack with Deep Dreams. Our dive guide Jolt was great. Very patient and knowledgeable. The dive boats ( we where on 2 different boats)where the cleanest we have been on (we have been diving for over 20 years). The staff where excellent, food was great and best of all plenty of room. This was probably the best diving we have done for a long long time.

If you have a nice dive with Deep Divers depends mostly on your guide/DM in charge of that day. The first two days we were disappointed with the lack of fish and colour at the chosen dive sites: that was not how we remembered the Red Sea (we've dived it 6 times over the past few years)! After a good talk with one of the guides, he told the captain the next day to take us to some sites a little further away, and they were a lot better. More fish, more coral, more colours and better visibility. That's something I don't really understand: if you don't speak up, they'll take you to the same dive sites for the whole week, although there are over 25 different sites nearby. I think they just choose the ones closest to the resort, so it doesn't cost too much time and money. Most of the staff on board just doesn't seem to care a lot about the divers. We ordered 32% nitrox and got different mixes every day, varying from 28-31% (mostly 29-30%), and one day they forgot to bring enough nitrox tanks on board. We also dived a lot with just the two of us, without a guide (we are experienced divers). That was okay for us, but it was because there was only one guide with a group of very different levels of experience. I think if that's the case than you should send an extra guide instead of sending people by themselves. The main reason for us to want to dive with a guide is because they see more marine life, and you don't have to worry about navigating back to the boat (hey, we're on holiday ;-). In the end we were quite surprised that we had to pay for the tea and coffee we had on board - at what other dive center is that not included in the price of the dive?! All and all we had some good dives and we enjoyed it, but wouldn't recommend it if you are not very experienced or if you want any personal attention.
