Every time I visit Dahar I get the local bus, I never feel in danger. I have an apartment about 10 minutes away, I use the small buses all the time. I walk the streets talking to the locals who are very pleasant. I do my salad and veg shopping at the local souk and the price is very good.... More

The real egypt. This is not aimed at tourists, but more the locals. Not once did we feel unsafe, the only thing the locals want is you to go in there shops and spend money. Very delapadated and run down, but a new cultural experience. The shops are very cheep, you still have to barter, but need to stand your... More

this is an old renewed place containing shops with almost everything for sale.if you want to buy gifts for back home friends you can find cheap ones there.if you want something for yourself not fancy you can find it there.it is not a bad experiense

We asked Es Dana beach limousine to take us to el dahar took about 20 minutes in the car cost 300 for return trip don't do it a waste of time, when dropped we were offered a security guard to go with us only shopping was Egyptian tat and fish market not for us.

Good place for food shopping, may be the best at hurghada also everytime i go there i find myself at color beach club which is amazing place you should try

Old Town of Hurghada called Eldahhar, mostly now occupied by local residents, on first line has some good hotels such as Hilton Plaza, also if you like buying fresh fruits yourself you can do it at (Elsouq) which means market it is easy to reach on local transport. also you may have a great chance to make a tour on... If your after culture and the Egyptian life.. 5 star is your rating. If your looking for a relaxing and beautiful holiday, I wouldn't recommend a visit. You have plenty of fruit markets, hanging meat in the streets, gentleman cafes. The majority of the people you'll see are men and children. The building look like slums in some parts, with... More
