We were staying at Verginia Sharm Hotel and hear about the half crown through other English couples at the hotel. We visited on the curry night, amazing food and such value for money. Was lovely to get a proper cocktail which was really cheap. Lovely atmosphere and amazing staff!

Lovely unspoilt city pub near quayside of river Tyne. Good range of beers, helpful staff and though lunchtime food consisted only of various filled rolls, they were delicious. My husband enjoyed the pennine pale beer and my shiraz was very acceptable. For CAMRA types there are usually at least 6 real ales. Well worth a visit.

Group of twelve of us turned up on BBQ night and for £3 it was a steal. Great atmosphere, great music and very welcoming hosts. Karaoke was a laugh apart form this fat bloke with a beard singing st elmos fire. If you fancy a night out away from your hotel then this is the place to be.

Liked this place a lot. As far as I understood generally there are divers and diving centers staff, people are always friendly, good music, really good buffet and drinks. Disadvantages for me that there is not a lot of cocktails in the bar, not super clean (like everywhere although) and there's a karaoke so when somebody starts to sing without... More
