About
Designed by John Sanford, a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, the course meets American and European architectural standards for golf courses. The gentle slopes of the fairways take full advantage of both sea and mountain views and the course offers an impressive 7100 yards between the 1st and 18th hole. The total course area cleverly spans the central section of the resort's overall property, linking the different hotels and beachfront. The course provides an exciting game with various rolling elevations ranging from 4 to 70 meters above sea level. With five sets of tees on each hole, players have ample opportunity to improve their game or abide by their actual handicap level. Three challenging lakes, as well as several sand bunkers, native desert areas, and elevated fairways will test players' abilities. Each hole has five sets of tees and three holes offering plays alongside the Red Sea waters.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Due to lack of tourism (which is hopefully picking up now) the golf course was left to over-grow & just an area of dead brown grass. Not operating at the moment. Hoping for betters days ahead!

After a 12 hours journey from Alexandria to Taba, we reached the resort. The place is average and doesn’t give you the impression of a 5 stars hotel at all.
The room was very primitive with an old fashioned TV.
The number of personnel in the restaurant was very few, so it was like “ help yourself “ finding a table and ask them to clean it !
The overall experience was not very pleasant.
I don’t think I’ll go back again.

I went here in November 2013. My first holiday for 15 yrs and First one ever on my own.

The reception staff were friendly and efficient, nothing and I mean nothing was too much for them.

The food was excellent and all cooking/service areas were clean. The only draw back was breakfast outside due to the sparrow landing as soon as you left table unattended with food on plate. Put napkin over plate.

The rooms were kept immaculate in the part I stayed in.

Spa and gym facilities were excellent and made use of the former regularly.

I didn't go for the golf only for some R n R after a difficult year.

Pool would have been better if it had been heater sooner but the jacuzzi was lovely.

There were a few shops on site but a little shopping complex outside which the hotel laid on transport to.

Would recommend if travellers are allowed back to this part of Egypt.

My first visit to Hyatt was in 2003 and last visit 2012 just before Orascom took back charge of the hotel. I had approximately 15 visits in all. I adored the place as did many of the regulars you all know who you are.
I have visited quite a few places in Europe but Taba just did it for me. So sad it all had to change. Amazing staff and location.

Played the course twice on last visit to Taba. It is a wonderful course sadly very under used. Very well kept and friendly welcome from all staff. The 12 th hole is terrific, lots of bunkers but you are tempted to go for it from the elevated tee. Not cheap but twilight golf reasonable but hot and buggy essential. It is very sad to see a wonderful course so underused due to lack of visitors. Unfortunately Taba is very close to the border so Europeans are very concerned about safety!

is very sad, the place is empty and suffers from lack of tourism. It should be great, but it's missing travelers to get it back on track
