A specialized museum on natural history of humans life style, tools, clothes, etc with suitable space organized within a classical early 20th century building, with collaborative staff, providing good information of Ajara territory from stone age till 4th-3rd century BC.

Not bad for a small rather new museum. Many ancient cultures are represented here, not just the Colchis.

Good choice for when the weather is bad. But even without that - worth seeing. Some artifacts were really breathtaking. It's also good lesson on the history.

Looking for something indoors to do on a rainy day, found this museum. Well laid out, well presented artifacts, all labels in multiple languages (Georgian, Russian and English). Exhibits are beautiful and well presented, worth a visit, come rain or shine

Located not far from city center, this museum will give you insight in local ancient history and how culturally rich Georgia is. It takes less than hour to check out all exhibits, all of them have short explanation in English language.
