Chowmahalla Palace enable us to look back in the life style of old Nizams ( Rulers ) of Hyderabad. A beautiful example of fusion of Indian,Mughal and Europien architecture. Chowmahallla Palace offers a good collection of old photographs and paintings of erstwhile rulers ,a good collection of pictures of festivals organised and other big events of Riyasat time are on... This is a nice serene place to walk around and take in some more history of Hyderabad. The palace itself is very well maintained, as are the grounds and there is much to see and take in here. 200RUP entry for foreigners well worth it. Put it on your list to visit.

Visited Chowmahalla palace in the month of december with family. It has entry fees, and the camera fees is also pretty high. But compared to the fees inside premises is not that great. It has many buildings to watch out for, seems ok but not great.

Lots of artifacts, lovely architecture and plenty to gaze upon in this palace. You get the full picture of what life was for the wealthy back in the day.

The palace is set in extensive grounds, with many buildings. All are not open. Restoration is being undertaken (the palace lay empty for many years), and quite a bit is completed. A visit provides an insight into the lifestyle of the Indian ruling class, which appears to have been quite lavish. Much to see, so allow plenty of time. The... More
