Even if you are not boating here, it is a great picnic spot. The only downside is that you wont get a lot of eatery options at the lake. Recommended for family groups as well as couples. The place offers lot of attractions for children.

Very large lake with nice gardens and walking/running paths around it (far east side has an interesting statue of Buddha). However, went in late May and the water level was surprisingly low with a not so nice smell. Recommend not visiting in mid-summer.

Vastly dried up. Is soon going to become an eye-sore. The open mild hot breeze was a saviour. Still scenic and paddle boatable in one section, is the only saviour.
