We were staying overnight in the area and stopped here after one of the local winery employees told us about it. It is such a nice little zoo and the staff is so friendly and helpful. It would be worth it at double the price....More

For $2.50 per adult it’s excellent. Provides great amenities (playground and benches) and the animals all seem healthy and happy. Enclosures are mostly well done providing animals different levels in the enclosures. Highly recommend a stop if you’re in town. Great way to spend an...More

This zoo is fairly small, cheap and is a nice stop if you're passing through. Don't make this a main trip attraction as you'll be in and out in an hour, even if you're walking slowly. They do have a variety of animals, and those...More

This is the best tiny zoo I have ever been to, and I am guessing that a lot of that credit goes to a staff that values their volunteers. At least that was the impression I got from those I talked to— the volunteers feel...More

We wanted to take a walk in Alamogordo and to be honest there aren't many trees around here. We saw that this zoo had some shaded walkways and thought it might be a nice thing to do. We really enjoyed looking at the animals in...More

We really enjoyed ourselves and we are all adults. It was worth more than the $2.50 they charge to get in. I love a zoo and knowing these were rescued animals made it even more enjoyable. If I lived there and had small children we...More

We enjoyed walking by the different animals. The ostrich took a liking to my wife's hat (so don't get to close). Be patient and look close.

Despite the size of the zoo, the best thing about it besides the animals and the affordable entrance fee is the fact that the city is able to use the grounds as a fantastic venue for community events. I love being able to go to...More

I don't think they rent wheel chairs there, but it appears to be fairly wheelchair friendly with all flat land and concrete walks. I hope this helps.
