We enjoyed our visit to the space museum. They have outside displays of rockets, etc Including the sled that a man rode in at 632 mph in 1954! (see photo) Inside you take the elevator to the 4th floor. What I really liked is how...More

My wife and I visited on Oct 9, 2017 at about 1PM. Our visit started with a skirmish with the purple-haired lady selling tickets at the museum. I had researched the website previously and knew that two senior combo tickets to the museum, movie, and...More

We live nearby and have been quite a few times. It’s a shame they don’t offer nicer discounts for military and their family members because this is one of the only things to do in Alamogordo and it gets expensive visiting multiple times a year...More

The displays are limited by our own surrender of the space race. The theater and presentations are good (ok stellar). The museum sits impressively on the hill. Avoid the relief route and take time to be the spaceman once more. Or spacewoman.

This museum, on a hill overlooking the town, covers only a small area but the main building is multi-storied and packs a hugh amount of interesting exhibits therein. You can trace the development of rocketry and space exploration right from the V2 weapons of WW11...More

There are very good exhibits inside and out and lots of information about space travel. we were disappointed with the planetarium as it was basically an advert for Google and it's moon space race. We had expected a space film history.

Great place to learn things about our space program in the past. Also they have a IMAX Theater which they show a 40 minute movie on our National Parks & a 40 minute movie about our Air Force carriers. Very interesting place could spend all...More

We were somewhat disappointed with the amount of renovation all happening at once. Interesting outdoor exhibits. There is also a planetarium, I-Max, and more exhibits in a different building. Best exhibit in my non-scientific mind was feeling a rocket lift-off. If you were interested in...More

The exhibits are pretty hands on too. You can dress up as an astronaut and have your picture taken as you walk on the moon! Also has a Star Trek exhibit which is pretty cool. And the outdoor display should be viewed too as it...More

My boys (23yrs) and (17yrs), my husband and I were very impressed with the lay out and props of this museum both inside and out. Well done! I would love to go back and I recommend it to any one. It's a must see!

Good exhibit most of it was training mock up. But good history of space travel. No where near to air and spacr in D.C. But not claiming to be. It's a good walk down space history lane

This museum was different from others we have visited. The missile exhibits make a visit to White Sands National Monument more meaningful. There are renovations that will allow for more exhibits in the future. Our 4 year old grandson enjoyed hands on exhibits, including posing...More

Without the movie, 1-2 hours. We had 3 kids with us, 9, 10 and 18. One was very interested. The others not as much. If we just had the one, we might have stayed longer.
