We were able to take a friend of ours from China to the museum. There are many really good displays with information about space exploration. We especially enjoyed the area with the facts about the astronauts. so interesting to see how space travel has evolved...More

Lots of good displays with information and artifacts I had not seen before. Facts and tributes to the astronauts who were true hero’s.

My son and I are big space fans - my daughter and wife...not so much. This museum made the list when we visited Alamogordo in March '18. First, the museum has a nice little outside park area with exhibits. Ham the space chimp is buried...More

Alamagordo is the nearest town to White Sands Natl Monument, White Sands Missile Range and the Trinity Site. It is, therefore, a great location for the space hall of fame and the NM museum of space history. The two are colocated and we'll worth visiting....More

I believe they have a full size Omni-max theatre there, like the one at the Boston Museum of Science.

Not a hokey place at all. Pride comes through very well. Nice exhibits. Look at a space rock and real suits. Ask how do you drink Coke/Pepsi in space - neat answer.
