The place is currently is just leftovers of an old, not so big fort. Don't come here expecting big buildings. Theres an arc on the road which looks pretty good. Whenever ive been here, not many people were there (Which is a good thing)

There is no fort as such existing at this place. It is actually an old Portuguese era seminary which is still functional. But it is actually a very beautiful & well maintained heritage structure and Rachol in itself is an extremely beautiful & peaceful place.

Only the gate of the fort and part of the moat are visible today. Rachol, is otherwise a quaint village, lush green in the rains. Beautiful countryside views till the ferry point. On the way there is Rachol Seminary and the church. Close to Margao
