Beautiful Temple

We reached here during our travel to Rann of Kutch. The place is so quiet, that you would want to sit there for the entire day, gaining peace & tranquility.

Peaceful, divine and a great pleasure to have a chance to visit the first ever Swaminarayan temple built in the world by Lord Swaminarayan himself, in His presence.

Thought not to visit as already I went to Akshardham but it is so near to Hathee Singh Jain temple that I couldn't resist & visited this temple too. There are two floors but I enjoyed more at top floor as it has more space & also you can see the ashram behind it & b'ful architecture & carving on... More

The place is suitable for people interested in religious thoughts. It gives information about saint Swaminarayan. No items are allowed inside except wallet. Mobiles/cameras have to be deposited at entrance. You will get water/eatables inside.

The Swaminarayan Mandir is a definite must go but the location is a bit difficult to access as it goes through several by lanes. Temple decor is splendid though, prompting us to visit twice in 2 days
