Must see if you are visiting Ahmedabad. About 3-4 km from Ahmedabad railway station.Contains Gandhiji's memmorables,pictures etc.Has a vast collection of Gandhiji's letters which he wrote to several British generals.Museum containing Gandhiji's photos etc is also worth watching

This is good historical place. Give the feel of the simplicity of Mahatma Gandhi.Place is on the main road only ( Ashram Road). Easily accessible from all part of city. Could be visited between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your interest level.

We had great time in ashram....its simple, clean, full of trivia about father of the nation. It truly depicts "simple living, high thinking"

Everyone must visit this ashram once. Nice display and maintained well. One improvement: When we visited there was school kids visiting this place. They made lot of noise disturbing entire place. Need security guards to control such crowd.

You would require to find nearby hotels. Check on the online portals for rates and closeness to the Ashram.

Most of the places in Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar have no fees.You can visit many temples & places of interest by engaging a Cab for 8-10 hours. It costs around Rs 1800 for 8 Hours & 2200 for 10 hours. Vintage Car museum charges... More
