Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a part of the Vishala restaurant complex though housed in a separate building and accessible with a separate nominal ticket.
It houses over four thousand old utensils housed in mud hut type buildings and covers every possible type of household utensil sued in the days of yore.
The collection is genuinely fascinating, and row after row of utensils evoke interest.
Value could be added by some descriptive plaques saying where the utensils were sourced from or their history. Also if the attendants would accompany small groups and talk about the same, it would make the visit more enjoyable.
A good walkthrough while visiting the restaurant.

This is part of the Vishala complex, and as mercenary as the entire place. The entrance is a reasonable Rs. 20, but then they ask for Rs. 10 for a brochure and Rs. 100 to use a camera. Nonetheless, it is an impressive collection of ancient and not so ancient kitchen and household utensils and housewares, made primarily from iron. The number of items in each category is truly mind boggling, and is very well laid out, in a partly open air style around a courtyard. Even if you don't eat at the rip off Vishala restaurant, do make it here to admire this museum.

kids would love to spend time in the utensil museum, a guide or a person who could show around and explain to visitors the relevance of objects placed there would be really helpful..i did find the place a bit sad though.. maybe all museums are like that

Vechaar is the only Museum of its kind in the world, displaying such a precious collection of utensils.

A walk around the hut-like museum makes one's heart skip a beat, marveling at the inimitable beauty of these utensils of old. These utensils have been handed down through the changing seasons and times, over the years. They speak of the unmatched art and genius of humankind during the days of old when people did not have the modern facilities of our times.

museum has large collection of utensils used in medieval india. It was nice to imagine what utensil would have been used for what purpose. Presence of guide was missed by us. Despite being the only tourist there, no body gave us the tour. And lack of description of different utensil was somewhat disappointing. But overall good exerience

The museum is located in the premises of the Vishala village restaurant so the vibe here is completely rural and nice. When we went there it was raining a bit and it added to the look of the village theme. The museum itself is housed in what looks like an old Gujarati house, but iT has kept its feel extremely retro and you actually feel you have travelled back in time. The owner of the place has collected utensils and artifacts from all over the country since decades and has brought his entire collection together here. I believe the museum is around 40 years old now. Be prepared to pay 20 as entry fee and another ₹100 per mobile phone/camera for photography inside. But the guide here will take you through the artifacts nicely and the tour will take you roughly 40 mins or so. Definitely a must try.
